Despite social distancing and increased health and safety requirements due to Covid 19… we still had a lovely time at the Summer Playscheme in Hammersmith and Fulham this summer. Go Wild! was organised in partnership with Hammersmith Community Gardens Association and took place at Ravenscourt Park Glasshouses and Phoenix School Farm. We had a great time trying out a number of different STEAM activities and exploring nature around both gardens which were in full summer flower. Some really hot days and a few VERY rainy ones but children were not deterred and came along to enjoy themselves and learn about … Read more
We’re pleased to be taking part in Imperial’s College Community Science Seed 2019. In this first blog post, I’d like to tell the story of how the idea for the ESTEEM club developed 5 years ago. Next post will focus on what we did during the first ESTEEM club, what worked (and didn’t work so so well), lessons learned and our future plans. Students from Brackenbury Primary School, who participated in our Mudlarks Project, were invited on Friday 1st Nov to BBC Studios in White City to take part in their sustainability week. For instance, all teachers from participating schools in Mudlarks II will be asked to complete a UN Climate Change Teacher Course which is being delivered in partnership with eduCCate Global. Moreover, … Read more
