Discover Your Westminster 2022-23
Urbanwise.London is pleased to announce the start of a new Discover Your Westminster programme with support from Westminster Adult Education Service (WAES). We’ll start with a walk on the 22nd October exploring Paddington and the Grand Union Canal. We’ll meet outside Paddington Library, Porchester rd., W2 5DU. The walk will take approx. 2 to 3 hours. Green Discovery Walks and Culture Treks!
The programmes are run in partnership with HCGA and are part of RB Kensington and Chelsea’s Adult Education Service. Join us for our spring and summer programme of Green Discovery Walks and Culture Treks for RB Kensington and Chelsea residents. All walks and visits are free. Black History Walk – Black History Month
We’re pleased to announce that we’ve received funding from RBKC to deliver a couple of Portobello Road Black History Walks during this year’s Black History Month. We’ll be delivering a walk for Nova on Tuesday 19th Oct and we have walk open to all on Thursday 21st at 10am meeting outside Ladbroke Grove station. Bazalgette’s London Summer 2021 Update
After a difficult start to the year, due to being in lockdown, we got our Bazalgette project back on track with School sessions and Community walks with support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. We manage to successfully work with two primary schools, Christchurch C of E and St Paul’s CE, and a few community groups (Abbey Centre, Westminster Adult Education, Hammersmith Community Gardens Association) all of which enjoyed visiting the Riverside and learning more about Bazalgette’s work.
