Working with Schools
Schools please note: All our activities are delivered in line with current guidance on Covid 19. Check out our Schools Programme for healthy outdoor learning sessions for your class.
Urbanwise.London works with schools across west London. We deliver a range of education sessions covering aspects of geography, history and science with cross curricular links in some sessions. Our programme follows the national curriculum with the local area as a focus. Many of our sessions link strongly to climate education and support children in addressing issues of pollution and sustainability.
Our Local Studies sessions generally begin with a classroom introduction, followed by an outdoor learning session exploring a local trail along the river or visiting a nearby park or market.
Cost for a half day session £110 for Hammersmith and Fulham local authority schools or £125 for schools from other boroughs and private schools.
“Inspectors are required to take account of the extent to which a broad and balanced curriculum is designed and modified to meet the needs of individuals and groups of pupils, and the design, range and depth of the curriculum from the pupils’ perspective. Clearly, a curriculum is only likely to have these qualities or attributes if it provides substantial opportunities for pupils to learn outside the classroom.”
