Spring Half Term Activities
Helped by two wonderful students from Roehampton University, Sam and Prenny, we were able to take quite a few Londoners out and about this half term to Discover their London.We had a great visit to the Sky Garden and a little walk around the green spaces of the City of London, despite the rain, with St. Andrews Youth Club from Fulham. The view was still amazing on a very cloudy day ! We also visited the Museum of London Docklands for the first time with some families from Family Lives project in Church street, Westminster and explored Canary Wharf’s roof…
Royal Gala evening at the Natural History Museum
Last week we were delighted to be invited to attend the Royal Gala performance of “The Wider Earth”, a wonderful play about Darwin’s voyage of discovery on the Beagle. We brought along some families from north Kensington from our Nature Discovery project and we were all pleased to meet the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex too.…
Roehampton University Students helping in half term!
We are 2nd year, BA Primary Education students from the University of Roehampton. As part of the course for this year, the University has added in a brand new module titled ‘Enhanced Learning Experience’ of which the main focus is how children can still learn a lot, even though they are outside of the classroom! As part of the module, we had to undertake a week’s placement at an organisation where this could take place, and Urbanwise fitted this perfectly.
