Grand Union Canal Walk on Thursday 20th February
Join us for a walk along the Grand Union Canal and through the famous Kensal Green Cemetery and St. Marys’ cemetery. We meet at 1pm at the car park to Wormwood Scrubs on Scrubs Lane. AGM and 30th Birthday!
On Tuesday evening we had our AGM and 30th Birthday at the Lilla Huset. We were joined by 50 friends, including 5 children from Year 3 of Miles Coverdale Primary school who presented their new film about Shepherds Bush Market, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (All Our Stories). The mayor of Hammersmith and Fulham Councillor Frances Stainton awarded the children with a certificate for the excellence of their work. Lovely Grand Union Canal walk this weekend! Last Saturday a group of walkers took a lovely walk from Mitre Bridge, near Wormwood Scrubs to Little Venice, enjoying the sights and sounds of the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal. The walk was about 3 miles in length- just right for a leisurely Saturday morning. We passed by Kensal Green Cemetery and walked through Meanwhile Gardens, admiring their new rustic bridge.
