Over the summer term we are able to offer a limited number of FREE local history walks to primary school Key Stage 2 classes in the Earls Court area. These will include an introduction in the classroom followed by a guided walk in the local area, uncovering the secrets of Earls Court’s special places like Brompton cemetery, Normand Park, the Empress State building and Earls Court One and 2. Chiswick Green Spaces Walk
Saturday May 17th at 10 am. FREE WALK Meeting under Hammersmith Bridge (Hammersmith side) Join us for a sociable walk of Chiswick’s green spaces. Starting at Hammersmith Bridge we will walk along the Thames path, passing historic St. Nicholas church and walking through Chiswick House and Gardens, admiring the water birds on the lake. We will finish at the beautiful Gunnersbury Triangle Nature Reserve, a hidden gem and great wildlife site in our local area! John Lyon’s Tri-Borough Outdoor Learning Project
Hammersmith & Fulham Urban Studies Centre are delighted to announce the start of our Tri-Borough Outdoor Learning Project. John Lyon’s Charity are funding an exciting programme to develop and expand our outdoor and local area learning across West London.
